Arabic Language – Grade 5

About the course

Adabi Club’s Grade 5 Arabic course is built on our own curriculum, designed to teach Arabic through understanding and practice rather than memorisation. This course takes Grade 5 students to a deeper stage of learning Arabic: understanding and analysing texts, linking grammar to real use, appreciating literature and writing complete compositions.

What will your child learn?

• Reading and deep comprehension: varied literary and informational texts, with questions that build inference, analysis and critical thinking.


• Functional grammar and morphology: rules linked to real use in reading and writing, not memorised in isolation.


• Literary appreciation: reading poetry and prose, discovering their beauty and expressing a personal view.


• Writing: from the paragraph to the complete composition, across several writing types.


• Spelling and handwriting: advanced spelling skills, mastery of Naskh and an introduction to Ruq’a script.


• Speaking and listening: oral presentation and discussion in Standard Arabic, and critical listening.
